Where is the MCHC office located?

We have not moved, but our address has changed. It is now 2340 E. Meyer Blvd., Building 1, Suite 216, Kansas City, Missouri 64132. We are on the north-east side of the Research Medical Center complex, just west of Prospect and Hwy 71, and south of the intersection of Prospect and 63rd Street, between Meyer and 63rd Street. The building is not actually on Meyer Blvd. We are in the Doctors Building #1, not in the main hospital building on Meyer. See “Contact Us” for more information.

How do I get one or more copies of your great Community Resource Guide?

You can order online or call (816) 283-6242 ext 226.

Is there a charge for the Resource Guide?

No, but donations are more than welcome and help the Coalition to continue providing resources to the community.

Will you deliver or mail the Resource Guide?

We prefer that you pick up your Guides at our office. Postage for mailing is $2.00 per book.

How do I get the MCHC newsletter?

Paid members receive a copy of the newsletter in the mail. You may also read current and past issues of the newsletter on the website.

How do I get the Eat at Mom’s (breastfeeding) Onesie?

You may order the onesie online or call (816) 283-6242 ext. 224.

How do I get copies of the “Just Say No—I’m learning to breastfeed” crib cards?

When is your annual luncheon?

It was usually around Mother’s Day but we have not had a luncheon since 2011, and don’t plan to have one in the future at this point.

How do I know what meetings are scheduled and where they are held?

How can I help the Coalition?

  • Get involved with a committee.
  • Get involved in a program.
  • Assist MCHC to make contacts in the business community or in your line of work.

How does the Coalition decide on goals?

MCHC stays abreast of community issues requiring attention through strategic planning with staff and board members, input from community partners and data experts, as well as research based on the U.S. Health and Human Services Healthy People 2010 benchmarks.

How is the Coalition funded?

  • Individual and organizational memberships.
  • Government and foundation grants.
  • Donations from people who care.

Does the Coalition advocate for legislative issues?

Are you having an immunization symposium this year?

We had a MAIC Symposium in 2013—Friday, June 21st at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park. These are held every other year, in odd years. See the calendar page for more information.

You can join online or sign up at one of our Quarterly meetings.
